Highland House, the 22 story glass tower in Highland Park, in Highland Park on Pittsburgh's East End. It looks out of place among the neighborhood's historic houses, and it is also one of the most recognizable things in Highland Park. After living here for just over a year, I follow it home like a beacon sometimes after an evening in Lawrenceville.

Some days, depending on the sky and the weather, it is actually kind of pretty. This is a painting of one of those days: a moody sky, dark trees in the foreground, and the straight lines of the building coming up out of the park. The reflective glass nearly blends into the clouds behind it.

An original watercolor painting of the Highland Park tower. One of a kind (not a print), quantity 1.

- 9 x 12 inch original watercolor, in a black frame
- Signed by the artist
- Ships from Pittsburgh, framed with corner protection in a rigid box

For Highland Park residents, East End regulars, and anyone who has a soft spot for a building that sticks out like a sore thumb in a historic neighborhood.
